Drinks with a view
Travel should be aspirational. Truth told, for me, a common motivation is relaxing in a spectacular setting and enjoying a fine cocktail, glass of wine or beer. Not particularly academic or high brow, but incredibly satisfying and memorable.
On this travel blog, the plan is to share some favorites.

Island of Capri, Naples Bay, Italy
This is my favorite spot on earth.
The Island of Capri is accessible by Ferry ride 20 miles from Naples and 10 miles from Sorrento. It is home to the famous Blue Grotto and a storied playground for the rich and famous from Emperor Augustus to Lady Gaga.
The real star for me is the nearly 2000′ summit of Monte Solaro. A 12 minute ride on single chair lift takes you to the top and what I believe are the best views in all of Italy.
There is a small service bar serving limited food and drinks. For this occasion, a chilled bottle of rose under the vines of the pergola was perfect.
