Capping off an amazing debut season, Lake Forest Sportscars driver Dave Musial secured third place in the Coppa Shell Ferrari Challenge championship this past weekend at Ferrari’s home track of Mugello in Northern Italy. Musial put an exclamation point on an already impressive first season by finishing 4th in race one and 3rd in race two at the historic Italian circuit. Finali Mondiali serves as the annual global closing of the Ferrari Challenge season where North American, European and Asia-Pacific drivers all compete for top honors. This year celebrated Ferrari’s 70th anniversary and included their XX, Corse Clienti, GT and Formula 1 racecars on display for the large Italian crowd.
Lake Forest Sportscars driver Dave Musial burst onto the racing scene this season by securing a podium finish in his first race weekend of the year at the famed Laguna Seca raceway behind the wheel of his brand new 488 Challenge racecar. He would then go on to finish the season in third place with an incredible seven podium finishes and three race victories; two of which were secured at the Montreal Grand Prix in front of the massive Formula 1 audience in attendance.
